As authorized by s. 119.07(4)(a)1, Lake Technical College charges a fee of 15 cents per one-sided copy for copies that are 14 inches by 8 ½ inches or less, and an additional 5 cents for each two-sided duplicated copy.
For other copies, Lake Technical College charges a fee limited to the actual cost of the material and supplies used to duplicate the public record, which includes the cost of media.
Where extensive use of clerical or supervisory labor, or extensive information technology resources are required, Lake Technical College charges a reasonable service charge based on the cost actually incurred. This may include, but is not limited to, cost recovery for data processing hardware and software and services, communications, supplies, personnel, facility resources, maintenance and training.
In rare circumstances, a special service charge may be imposed for identification of statutorily exempt material and redaction of the same, where the volume of records and number of potential exemptions make review and redaction of the records a time-consuming task.
Lake Technical College may ask for a reasonable deposit or advance payment prior to preparation and delivery of public records in response to a request.
Notwithstanding all of the foregoing, Lake Technical College reserves the right to provide informational copies of public records without charge when it in its discretion chooses to do so.
