On Campus
Lilliana Guardiola, Reports Coordinator for Lake Technical College, has been asked by WEEDAC (Workforce Education District Data Advisory Council) to coordinate a training for the 10 Districts that are currently using Skyward software to submit data to the Department of Education. Lilliana is a member of the WEEDAC Steering Committee. This steering committee was developed as a result of the interaction between the Florida Department of Education staff and school district Career and Workforce personnel. We appreciate Lilliana’s role with the steering committee and the leadership she will bring as she coordinates the training for the other districts.
Spotlight on Kim Knox
Kim Knox began working at Lake Tech last Monday as a Financial Aid Specialist! We all think she will be a great asset to our team. We asked her a few questions so you could get to know her a bit better:
- Why did you decide to work at Lake Tech? I was very impressed with the warm environment and the school that I wanted to be a part of such a special team!
- What are your hobbies or interests? Fun with the family and I love camping.
- Do you have a pet and if so, what kind. No pets.
- What is something that would surprise us about you? I lived in Geneva, Switzerland for thirteen years, so my first language is French.

Dinner to Go – United Way Fundraiser
The United Way of Lake & Sumter Counties is a big supporter of Lake Technical College and our community. Each year, we participate in a fundraiser to give back to them for all they do. This year, the Culinary Team is planning a “Dinner to Go” for only $5. Pre-order in the Business Office during the week of October 19-26.
