The Gainesville Florida Police Department is actively seeking diversified candidates to serve our community. We will be testing each month for Non-Certified Police Officers (applicants needing “sponsorship” for the police academy), Certified Police Officers, and candidates seated in a State of FL police academy (at the time of testing). We will be posting testing dates each month on our website and are currently testing as follows:
Testing dates will be held for Certified Officers (in state / out of state) and Non-Certified* every month starting May 2016:
- May 23 – 25, 2016 (City Application Deadline May 2 , 2016)*
- June 22 – 24, 2016 (City Application Deadline May 15 , 2016)

* Applicants needing “sponsorship” for the police academy are strongly encouraged to apply before the May 2nd, 2016 deadline for the May 23rd 2016 testing. Successful candidates will be assigned to the police academy starting August 2016.
