City of Punta Gorda FD Hiring Fire Inspector

The City of Punta Gorda Fire Department is accepting applications for Fire Inspector. Applications will be accepted until the position is filled.

The City of Punta Gorda Fire Department is an efficient and professional fire/rescue service. We are dedicated to be a community-oriented department that provides a broad spectrum of public services. Our agency strives to meet the challenges presented by the public needs and demands for a progressive and high quality fire department.

The Fire Department responds with three stations and twenty-four paid Firefighter-EMT/Paramedics. Stations are manned twenty-four hours a day in three eight-man shifts. Amongst its services, the Department provides first-responder ALS care, dive rescue and vehicle extrication.

The City of Punta Gorda includes more than 21 square miles of land and over 70 miles of canals, all bounded by beautiful Charlotte Harbor. It is the principal city of the Punta Gorda, Florida Metropolitan Statistical Area which encompasses all of Charlotte County. As the county seat, it is also the only incorporated area within the County.

With a current population of 17,444 residents, this community offers a leisurely life style with acres of waterfront property and abundant sunshine.
