The fall term begins August 22, 2011. Several programs have immediate openings for new students including: Auto Collision Repair and Refinishing, Digital Design I & II, Facial Specialty, Nail Specialty, and day or evening Welding. New programs and classes for 2011-12 include: Digital Design I & II, Medical Assisting (begins October 25), Phlebotomy, Air Conditioning Helper, Introduction to P/V Solar Installation, and Solar Thermal. Also coming this fall is online instruction that will be available through the Ed2Go program.
Other programs accepting applications include: Accounting Operations, Administrative Assistant, Automotive Service Technician I & II, Commercial Foods and Culinary Arts, Commercial Foods and Culinary Arts Apprenticeship, day and evening Cosmetology, Early Childhood Education Apprenticeship, and Medium and Heavy Duty Truck and Bus (Diesel Mechanics).In addition, a Child Care Director Credential class will begin August 22. EMT, Practical Nursing, Fire Fighter, Law Enforcement, and Corrections have specific application deadlines. Financial aid, such as Pell grants and other scholarships, may be available to those who qualify.
Adult Education day and evening classes, including English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL), Adult Basic Education (ABE), General Education Development (GED), and Applied Academics for Adult Education (AAAE) are available at various locations throughout Lake County.
