September 9, 2016– Eustis, FL – Lake Technical College’s fiftieth anniversary slogan is “Success is our Tradition” and they are well-prepared to extend that success to the students who were unexpectedly affected by the recent ITT Technical Institute closing. To help students continue their journey toward a successful career, Lake Tech will waive the college registration fee and will review ITT Tech transcripts to be sure students receive appropriate prior credit for the competencies they have already mastered. Lake Tech offers career and technical programs in Health Science, Information Technology, Business Management and Administration, and more! The instructors are experts in their industries and they thrive on preparing their students for successful careers. Lake Tech’s programs are fast and affordable. Most programs are completed in approximately one year and the tuition is based on $2.88 per hour; financial aid and scholarships are available to those who qualify.
For the past five decades, Lake Tech has provided career and technical training to thousands of students in Lake County and other surrounding regions. This school year, 2016-2017, marks the 50th anniversary of Lake Technical College’s main campus located at 2001 Kurt Street in Eustis. The Institute of Public Safety campus, located at 1565 Lane Park Cutoff in Tavares, was completed in 1994. Lake Tech is excited to expand again on the Main Campus with the addition of the Center for Advanced Manufacturing. This new building will be a state-of-the-art training facility to prepare people for careers in manufacturing which include Welding, Fabrication, and Machining. The building is set to open in 2017. In addition, they are expanding to meet the needs of the southern portions of Lake County and in Sumter County through the use of additional classroom space at Lake-Sumter State College’s South Lake and Sumter campuses.
