Have you considered a new career for the New Year? Lake Technical College is offering an excellent opportunity for Lake County residents which includes a scholarship that fully covers program tuition, lab fees, books, uniforms and state exam fees. Currently, there is a critical shortage of correctional officers! Lake Tech will supply the training and assist you with finding and securing employment. In fact, you may be eligible to be hired as a civilian to earn income while completing the training program. Being a correctional officer is a viable beginning into law enforcement as it helps you qualify for a crossover program allowing you to be dual certified in both corrections and law. If you want a career in law enforcement this is an opportunity you can’t miss!
Lake Tech’s Criminal Justice Academy Training Director Captain Michael Bond shared, “This is an opportunity for free education. You have nothing to lose and everything to gain! A great paying career with benefits and retirement. Not to mention it will open the pathway to many different career opportunities in criminal justice”.
