The public is invited to attend a 9/11 Ceremony to be held at 9:00 a.m. at Lake Technical Center’s Fire Academy/Institute of Public Safety, 1565 Lane Park Cutoff, Tavares. Mr. Jason Marquez, with First Responder Training in Orlando, is the speaker. Mr. Marquez worked as a paramedic with the New York Fire Department and responded to the tragedy at the Twin Towers. The event will also feature the Reedy Creek Color Guard and bag pipers, as well as the reading of the names of the fire fighters who gave the ultimate sacrifice of their lives on 9/11.
