How to Import Canvas Content from Commons
1. If you would like to import modules, assignments, quizzes, or even an entire course from one Canvas course to another course in Canvas:
2. In your Global Navigation toolbar, click on Commons in the left hand blue menu.
3. This screen will show up:
4. Search by name of the content, name of creator, or subject. You can import quizzes, modules, assignments and pages. You can also choose Filter in the right upper corner,
5. Once found, click on the blue content name on the content square. This screen will appear.
6. Now, click the course(s) you want to put content into. Then click Import into Course
7. You will see a message at the top of that screen that says it may take awhile to import.
8. Go to your course – modules will appear in Modules, quizzes will appear in your Quizzes section, assignments in your Assignments section, and so forth. If you have uploaded an entire course into your new course, you will see it all there!
