- Lake Technical College, in partnership with THRIVE Clermont, presented an “Exploring the Trades” workshop for students in South Lake County. Students were able to hear from instructors and ask questions during several round table sessions.
- Laurie Bryant represented Lake Tech at the iBuild Central Florida Board and Membership meetings. She is working with iBuild to host a 4-day, summer construction camp for middle school students this summer.
- The iBuild Invitational will be held on Saturday, April 25, 2020. Students from the Air Conditioning, Refrigeration and Heating Technology program competed and won last year and will hopefully participate again this year. Welding is being added to the skills competition, so hopefully some Welding Technology students will participate.
- Lake Technical College was represented at the Veterans Tribute Breakfast at Lake Receptions. Laurie Bryant indicated that the program was excellent and well represented by veterans from all branches of service, elected officials, and the community. It was a very humbling and reflective experience.
- A group of people from Groveland Works will be on campus for lunch and a tour on November 19.
