Seven students completed the Intro to Construction Technology program on October 24, and all were presented with job opportunities. During this 7-week course, students built shelves, designed planter boxes, worked on building a raised herb garden for the Professional Culinary Arts & hospitality program, and helped the City of Leesburg renovate apartments. The next class will start on January 14.
Seven students also completed the 1-day Forklift Certification course. Several of the students enjoyed the class so much that they want to take additional courses at Lake Tech! Students currently enrolled in CTE programs are welcome to take the course. It is not included in their tuition, but is available for just $99.
